My experience as a teacher has been ample almost 23 years I have worked at schools in the United States and Mexico. Implementing the montessori method the Reggio Emilia approach.  I have started my own business before, a couple years ago, and I was part of the girl scouts of Mexico as a troop leader afterwards I was the guide of the girl scouts of Mexico whole group of girl scouts teaching the girls. All this leadership and education experience is what I bring to the table to teach your child a new language and the fortitude to stick with it and have fun while doing so. I am very excited about the prospect of helping you and your children achieve their language objectives in an enjoyable way!

Malena Chavez

My name is Malena Chavez.  I am a native Spanish speaker from Lima, Peru. I moved to Austin, Texas 15 years ago, and before that I lived in Florida for 14 years. Growing up I had first-hand experience of learning a second language through my English education from elementary through high school.

I have always enjoyed working with children. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Peru of Primary Education. I got my National CDA degree in Early Childhood Education from Palm Beach Community College. I have completed the Director Credential Classes along with additional courses in education every year. I have been working in Early Childhood Education field since 1994.

In conversations with family and friends, time and time again, the predicament that came up was that they wanted their children to learn Spanish and retain what they learn. I have always strived to accomplish my goals and took their concerns to heart along with my co-worker Lourdes Fordori. We have come together with the same passion for teaching which led us to open our own school to meet these desires. I am very excited to bring my passion for dual language education and culture. I look forward to bringing that passion while teaching your child a new language in a fun and exciting way!
